About Dalian

The greater Dalian area is an important business and technology center in northern China. The city's rapid growth in both the local and international communities led to an increased need for improved social and business networking activities in the area.

About The International Club of Dalian

The objective of ICD is to provide a social and business network, and to enrich the living experience for expatriates and their families living in and around Dalian.

The Club is also committed to this community and takes an active role in organizing charity events and activities that support local development.


Management Committee

Armin Natter, Chairman
Originally from Germany, Armin has been living in China since 1995. He has worked in Guangdong and Shanghai previous to coming to Dalian in 2005. He is the Managing Director of Liebherr Hydr. Excavator Manufacturing. Married and with two sons, Armin has a long-term focus of residing in Dalian.

Martin Toomey, ViceChair & Membership Officer
Martin, a British citizen, is a permanent resident of China. Currently living in Dalian, where he lives with this wife and son. Before moving to China, Martin lived in the UK, Australia and New Zealand, where he held different executive positions. He is currently the Managing Director of Knorr-Bremse.

Sonia A. Tellez, ViceChair & Marketing and Public Relations Officer
Sonia has been a marketing and public relations professional for close to 20 years. Born and raised in Mexico, she is a Canadian citizen and has lived in six different countries working for high-tech, multinational firms. She recently moved to Dalian to run her company's operations in the Asia Pacific region.

Rita Jolly, Secretary
Rita Jolly and her husband Praveen are originally from the Midwest US. They have been 'on the road' since 1994 as their first stop was Hong Kong and later Amsterdam, The Netherlands. In 2004 they moved to Shanghai; in 2006 they moved to Dalian. Their two grown children reside in the US.

Frederic Choux, Treasurer
Coming from France to Dalian with his French wife Barbara, Frederic has enjoyed life in Dalian for more than 3 years. Frederic is a French wine importer and distributor here and to other major Chinese cities, but chose to establish his business in Dalian.

Hank Chang, Government Affairs Liaison
Hank Chang transferred to Dalian with his wife Sunny Wang in September of 2007 from Albuquerque, New Mexico (USA). Hank is the Director of Site Administration and Technology Training for Intel Dalian. They have two grown daughters, who are living in the US. Hank and Sunny will stay here until the new factory begins its manufacturing operations.

Adam Livermore, Legal Affairs & Audit Committee Lead
Originally from London, England, Adam has been living in China for four years. He has spent two years in Dalian. Adam is Regional Manager at Dezan Shira & Associates, a consultancy helping foreign invested companies with their projects all around China.

Hilda Tejada, Membership Committee Lead
Hilda Tejada is a professional interpreter/translator fluent in English, Spanish and Chinese. She is originally from Mexico and has lived in Dalian for nearly 2 years, dedicated to studying advanced Chinese-Mandarin.

Anna Lee G.L., Charity Committee Lead
Anna is from Singapore and has been in Dalian for about two years. Anna currently teaches at the Maple Leaf Preschool in Dalian.
