Summer time is here!

We all love the summer time. It brings warm weather, BBQ’s, beach picnics, a break from work or school, and for some, going back home to visit relatives and friends.

For those who are going home for the summer: have a safe trip, see you when you come back! For those who are staying: enjoy the beautiful Dalian summer, and see you around during our regular events!

Giving back to our community – 2nd hand articles donation drive
An important part of our Club’s foundation is to give back to the community in which we live. We are still collecting used-but-in-good-shape articles (clothes, toys, books, electronic appliances) that will be donated to those in need.

Summer BBQ, Saturday, July 4th
Join us for some fun and good western food!

ICD Mah jong with Rita and Karen – Fridays
Beginners and advanced players find this traditional Chinese game a lot of fun. We will teach you how to play the game and soon you’ll be punging, shanging and playing ‘fancy hands’.

Friday, July 10, 17, 24, Xinghai Square (at Karen’s, call or write to us for directions)

Learn how to make delicious Indonesian dishes with Executive Chef Frank Bohdan!

Ladies Cooking Class, Tuesday, July 14th

ICD Business Networking “Pub Night” at Swissotel Pub – Friday, July 31st

Membership
New to Dalian? And want to help support ICD for the rest of 2009? We are currently taking half-price rates for all corporate, family and individual members as of July 1st. Passport number verification required upon completion of application due to government regulations. The ICD membership year is from January 1 to December 31.

Half year memberships are:
• Individual -- RMB 150
• Family -- RMB 225
• Corporate – RMB750 per 10 employees

Full year memberships are:
• Individual -- RMB 300
• Family -- RMB 450
• Corporate -- RMB1500 per 10 employees
