East Meets West: Cooking with Beer Come join Jek Tan, the Shangri-La Executive Chef, for a cooking class outside on the I-Café Terrace**! Beer is an essential ingredient in some recipes and a flavor enhancer in others. We will learn how to cook with this special ingredient in Fish and Chips as well as Drunken Shrimp with Garlic Sauce. Recipes will be provided for these delicious selections. Mark your calendar for Tuesday, May 20. Meet Rita in the Shangri-La Hotel Lobby at 9:45am as the class starts at 10:00am. The cost of this class for ICD members is RMB100. Please RSVP activities@icdalian.com with "Cooking Class" in the subject line. The Shangri-La Hotel management is also offering ICD members a 20% discount for this day only if you wish to enjoy lunch afterward in the I-Café, Shang Palace or Nishimura Restaurants. **Weather-permitting; otherwise the class will be held inside the hotel.
