The Business Group of the ICD continues its regular series of meetings, "ICD Business Networking", an event aimed at providing a place for expat business people to informally introduce themselves, network, and exchange information in a relaxed setting. We hope this will also be a time that newcomers to the Dalian business community can be welcomed and begin making the connections necessary to operate successfully in this area. On the last Friday of each month foreign business people will be invited to gather for networking and discussion.

 

This open ICD Business Networking event is at the newly renovated pub on the 8th floor of the Swissotel beginning at 6:00 pm on the last Friday of each month. As this is an unhosted open event in a public location, a cash bar policy is in effect.

Please bring business cards.

An activity for the entire Family

A 45 minute coach ride to Lushun followed by activities including:

 - A visit to Dalian's biggest and newest temple

 - Visit the largest Buddha statue in Dalian

 - Visit Dalian's largest Pearl Factory

 - Spending time outdoors with family and friends.

The ICD Summer Tournament at Pine Tree Golf Club is on!! 18 holes of golf followed by a leisurely barbecue & buffet on the clubhouse upper deck. Paired by handicaps to ensure balanced teams, players of all levels can take part. For our July cooking class, Shangri-La Chef Jek Tan will offer two contrasting cuisines' dishes: Chicken Teriyaki and Seafood Paella. Not only are both favorites in their own cultures, but also tastily prepared and enjoyed these days around the world. In addition, he will discuss oils and use of this basic cooking ingredient. Come and enjoy this popular class on the i Cafe terrace!

Cost: RMB 100 for ICD members; RMB120 for non-members

The Shangri-La offers a 10% discount to be used this day only in the Shang Palace, i Cafe or Nishimura Restaurants.
